.

All the promises

All the promises

1 – 10 July 2015

burning 8

The hours still stand by

As space expands in morrow

Slate of time dilates

.

Crops burnt in corners

Lie idle remnants of past

When food was mundane

.

Eyes wide with glory

Mind quenched with victory’s thrill

You rule, King of dark

.

Corpses pile aflame

Memories of hearts that loved

In vanity died

.

Thrill of chase vanquished

Idle thoughts of loyalty

String of hearts like pearls

.

I believed a lie

Intoxicating promise

Of a brave New World

Forse

both together2

Ti guardo timorosa ma sperando
Che i tuoi ricordi mancano all’appello

Dai tuoi belli e scuri occhi infossati
Accesi come due braci fiammeggianti
Diamanti incisi nella tua faccia scura

Forse avrei trovato uno squarcio di cielo
Soffiando parole dimenticate nelle tue orecchie

jawline kiss 8 (2)

I look upon you fearful though hopeful

That your memories have missed a call

That your heart listens more than mind

For only our velvet moments to recall

And dazed, retrace features of the past

.

Perhaps I would find the meaning of life

Within the tears that roll down your face

From your beautiful dark sunken eyes

Blazing like two flaming pieces of coal

Etched diamonds in your rugged dark face

.

Perhaps I would have a glimpse of heaven

Whispering forgotten words in your ears

Lips close to your greying temples

Where your heartbeat glows listless

Where your jaw forgets to clench

.

Perhaps I would find the reason to smile

In the delicate flare of your crooked nose

Just above the curvaceous plane

Leading to the corner where your full lip

Finally finds new joy in our embrace

I walked down to the river

I walked down to the river

26 June 2015

river walk 5

Trickle of water

Ran upwards from spirit’s palm

Defying physics

Challenge to set intentions

Opened reservoirs of grace

Spring fresh gushed onwards

Streams forming in its light trail

Moving upward drive

Elevated concepts rose

Scaling mere fragments of thought

Land formations thinned

Water seeped in through all cracks

Deltas met their end

I walked down to the river

While it flowed down to the sea

Seagulls mewed faintly

Their sullen voices beckoned

Ocean’s thunderous cry

Flooded in white light that roared

Source stood in wake of my call

Out living a lie

Out living a lie

24 March 2015

 sanctuary13

Green nails raked the ground

As the gardener combed on

The moss-ridden land

Covered in nebulous clouds

My mind sought to soar above

Stone split in splinters

As hammer drove on heavy

Heaving with the might

Chest weighed down by force of mind

Imploded into ashes

Woodpecker carved on

Its beak relentless into

Soft bark that bled red

Delicate core oozed crimson

While iron cage survived time

Dark whispered to light

As crying voices withered

Out living a lie

Stale truth in form broke feigned bond

As mind outlived memories

Dark matter

Dark matter

13 – 14 March 2015

Pulse7

Poppies red in field

Danced to the wake of sunlight

Before stillness hit

Like an earthquake hearts burst out

From withered poppies that shrank

Crimson hearts pulsate

In their naked agony

Frail and bodiless

Slender frame responds shaking

As the hearts begin to beat

The throbbing hummed on

Beating to the rhythm of red

Cast on sea of hearts

Ocean in heart responded

While I picked them one by one

Feathers gathered pink

To gushing crimson fountain

Soft they had been once

Mellow in healing touch

Hands extended I faltered

Sewn across bodies

Shells picking up a new life

Hearts reached out in vain

Tight writhing chest echoed dull

As my arms withdrew sullen

All I had was ink

Dark matter spilled on my hands

As I waved goodbye

My mind walked on free yet tied

To a bottomless low tide
