Consensus
25 December 2016

Four horsemen
Count the sea horses
They practice
The countdown
The end of merry go round
When cheek falls to ground
Weaving threads
Three work in shadows
Their fingers
Nimble gears
Setting in motion action
A chain reaction
A ripple
Of tides uprising
Paving beds
Within shreds
Of unwoven tapestry
Penelope’s sea
Ulysses
Worn out by ventures
Flipping through
Adventures
On mantelpiece beckoning
Quiet reckoning
Past stardust
Millenary thrill
Lost in time
Echoes shrill
Ashes floating in the light
In memory the might
Wanderlust
Gnawing icicle
Frozen fear
Consensus
Nations gathered for the ban
Abort travel plan
Reading of the poem:

Seagull – Sophie Barker
In the Waiting Line – Zero 7 feat Sophie Barker
Calling – Bliss (feat Sophie Barker)
Poor consensus is better than a fine war. Especially in the world where peace is as solid as a ripple on the surface. Great poem.

Thank you Inese. Yes, poor consensus is far better than wrecking havoc everywhere. Sometimes war can go much further than we fathom with our limited insight

I like the way you read this poem and the previous one. I don’t have your flair for poetry and it makes the rhyme and rhythm and the beautiful melodic quality of your pieces very clear.
