In Circles of Time
9 October 2015

.
In dwindling sunlight
I sat on the river’s bank
Watching it flow past
.
Engulfed in darkness
An opening under bridges
Swallowed river’s flow
.

.
As the sun fell cold
In the icy waters drowned
Opening narrowed
.

.
All the Earth focused
A point of no return slid
Sealing the entrance
.

.
The river swelled, sighed
Its waters shaking off sun
From within broken
.

.
The Earth lay bereft
Bearing pieces of sun’s rays
That none could revive
.
The moon rose severe
Holding the upper hand smiled
In Circles of Time
.
