Ode to Nevermore
22 March 2016

Nevermore
Will the sun rise East
The throbbing
Horizons
Witness two bright rising suns
My children from North
Nevermore
Will the foot touch lands
Sunken grounds
They distill
Decantation a process
Within the waters
Nevermore
Will the breath be air
We grow gills
Like once lungs
Breathing a new exercise
Of birthing anew
Nevermore
Will we crawl on Earth
We will fly
The gills lost
We will pay blood more than cost
Of feathers renewed
Nevermore
Will we live alone
Our blood type
Time’s carving
The cells in our frames starving
The star-bound journeys
Nevermore
Will our eyes focus
On tired strain
Of muscles
Our bodies disappearing
Ode to nevermore
Reading of the poem:
Lara Fabian, Юрий Башмет, Дживан Гаспарян – “Vocalise”/ “Вокализ”
A poignant piece

Letting go to move on! Feels like leaving a beloved homeland. Homesick but hopeful about the road ahead. Love this, Geetha! 🙂

All we have is the hope in our hearts Eric, even when our bodies can no longer continue the journey in a normal way. Thank you for stopping by and reading

nevermore indeed, a tribute to all that’s lost or left behind as we evolve

Yes Melinda. Sometimes we have to let go of what we got so used to whether real things we had or ideas of what could have been.
