All within

All within

earthwoman

Contain me not
For I contained the earth
That pierced flowers in me
And branched me into trees
Swaying silently

Contain me not
For I contained the desert
That scorched my skin
And polished my bones
To glaring quartz

Contain me not
For I contained the ocean
That lapped my wounds in salt
And decorated my hair
With broken seashells

Contain me not
For I contained the winds
That blew through every memory
And scattered the sounds of you
Like empty drums

Contain me not
For I contained the skies
That gazed upon all tearfully
And filled me with a tidal wave
Sweeping all remains

Contain me not
For I contained all in hope
Then scourged my wilderness
And let go all, contained none
Not even I
