A Tale of wincing virtues
5 December 2015

Of broken items
Furniture, relics and dreams
She had a room filled
The bustling places
Livelihood of ghostly gait
Simmering ashes
Mocking birds’ speeches
Tunes of ivory and stone
Cast in slow pavements
Slippery ridges
On banks leading to nowhere
From rivers of ice
Stretches of treasures
Meaningful pebbles of Life
Appealing to none

Cruises for the dead
Box of chatter for leisure
Frigid drooping shores
Songs of soft nothings
Of quiet little measures
Distilling poisons
A hymn to the knaves
The unrelenting few dazed
Strewn astride her past
Book of small paces
Featuring starlets and sods
Blank fading faces
Of quirks of the game
A Tale of wincing virtues
Of falsehood and blame

Boulevard of Broken Dreams – Greenday
I walk Alone – Tarja Tarunen

You are welcome, Geetha…if I have learned anything about writes it’s that we write much of ourselves into our work 🙂

Yes we definitely do. I have a section which I called real-life experiences in my menu because that is written really raw almost exactly like it happened or was felt but most of the other writings are also quite close to the source of experience. I have to say very little is really full fiction in what I write

I am like that, writing from emotion or experience most of the time. I can write fiction but even then I write a lot of myself into it.

What a rich poem! Metaphors dance and the imagery is tangible! The second video I could not view it, but I am sure it was chosen to match perfectly! 🙂

Thank you Dajena. I am guessing you might like it as well. I realised earlier on this year that probably many people could not view some of the videos as I had a few tell me that so now I actually put the name of the video and of the artist above it. The second video is I walk Alone by Tarja Tarunen. She sings operatica

Ahh.. maybe because of different areas we live. But including the name makes it easier to find it on youtube. Great idea!
