Collecting days
14 September 2014
Leaf after leaf falls
From the oak tree as wind blows
Orange autumn calls
In memory of earthen spells
A mind its past brooding quells
A slow parting kiss
Blown by a waning sunlight
Sends shivers through skies
The earth stilled by the morrow
Gathers itself in respite
Moody butterflies
Scatter rebellious new trends
Colours burst alight
A wailing banshee in shreds
Chases hooded hounds that skulk
The nightingale shrill
Keeps tone to a higher hue
In silence it yearns
Collecting days like pennies
Thoughts of winter heave in heart
