The purple rays of twilight
30 July 2016

Withered leaves
Pages of the fall
Skies that shut
Behind clouds
A lone voice among the crowds
The haunting whispers
Sun shivers
The warmth receding
Into dark
Broken lark
Searching for chirps in bosom
As flow runs crimson
Eyes open
To the wilderness
Looking glass
Mirrors sight
The purple rays of twilight
Suffusing the night
