It was tea for Two
7 December 2015

Let me tell you how
I had chanced upon wonder
Story to be told
Keeping to myself
I walked the eerie forests
Thinking of the wolf
You see he was fierce
At least then they told me so
Don’t step on his toe
For he’d snap and snarl
Open wide his horrid jaws
Eat you in a bite
So I walked in fear
My pace so slow and cautious
Me the hunted deer
Suddenly he pounced
But oh it was just in glee
He yearned company
Feeling like an elf
I extricated myself
From his mighty paws
Whether glee or not
I don’t think that he forgot
Taste of our sweet meat
Straightening his knee
He then begged me not to flee
Laid out cutlery
As I quaked and shook
That twas mere wolf finery
Here I would end book
He then turned around
To some object on the ground
Picked it up for me
And lo now behold
There upon a plate of gold
Lay a piece of cake
I gazed at the cake
Spinach carrots and some cream
It must be a dream
Please would you now taste?
And if you’d have it spicy
I’ll add curry paste
Dead woman’s supper
Was first thought that did occur
As I took a bite
Oh so heavenly
I almost kissed him in joy
He was such a chef
I then stayed a while
With wolf that baked vegan cakes
It was tea for Two
