Minorma

All the holy grounds

Material Immaterial

Return to the Source

In heavenly skies

Alpha and Omega

The well calls me

Of ravens reaching out

You are not here

The Silent Tree

Minorma is a poetic form that I invented today 21 June 2016. It is based on the flow that was created from the frequent use of the Shadorma which is a poetic form alleged to have originated in Spain (see details of Shadorma here https://geethaprodhom.wordpress.com/poems-by-poetry-forms/shadorma/ on this website). I called it Minorma because I wanted to liken it to the original form which inspired me and wanted it to contain the sense of being according to my norm (mi norma – a hybrid invented word taking its roots into actual concepts in different languages).

In the Minorma the poem consists of a five line stanza (4/5/7/5/6) for a total of 27 syllables. A poem may consist of one stanza, or an unlimited number of stanzas (a series of minormas)
