Veil so thin
3 February 2016

She was freed
Twice in a neat row
The bluebirds
They sang so
Their beaks memories of honey
The bees had gathered
I flew high
Keeping company
With her wings
Lost anthems
We move in skies with phantoms
The moon our witness
We all die
Before we can live
My years stretch
Into skies
Desolation I forgive
I love green meadows
The true love
It is never lost
Just sleeping
Beauty fades
We may exchange hearts for spades
Breathe within shadows
The night’s kiss
A story of dark
Of lovers
And clovers
Clubbed to death by the wit game
In love we place shame
Nothing moves
The wind is dead cold
The breath warm
Tired bees swarm
Just around my window sill
As I face the winds
Flies hover
Suspended wings gleam
Tomorrows
Noise sullen
Picking up the mornings din
I soak it in skin
It vibrates
Snakes crawl up my spine
Sun troubling
Dream divine
We were free upon a rhyme
When teeth clicked tight shut
Fleeting Time
I gather my hands
Rubbing oil
Through snakes kin
The true which people think false
The best hiding place
All numbers
They are but targets
Floating within
Veil so thin
We discover what we choose
The rest we let loose

A la Claire fontaine – The painted veil
You certainly have made the shadorma your companion and it fits your style perfectly. I have not seen the film but your poetry paints vivid images in my mind. Another gorgeous piece, my friend.

Thank you Thomas. I’m really loving the shadorma almost as much as Haiku/senryu and you can see that by the growing collection 🙂
You really ought to see the movie. It is absolutely gorgeous. I’ve not seen another movie taken so well out of a book. The music was also incredibly beautiful

You are welcome, my friend. It is easy to see. I will add the movie to my list of things to watch 🙂

Yes you must, it is not only beautiful from a landscape perspective but the acting and emotions depicted are truly magnificent.

The words are gorgeous and your shardoma poems are always full of feelings that anyone can identify with.
And as a side note, I loved that movie! The cinematography was excellent!

Thank you so much Dajena. I am happy if people can have their own reading as well. I find it enriching when they share that. I loved the movie too. Very rarely does cinema truly do honour to a book but this one nailed it perfectly. All the feelings were conveyed so well. It was a perfect movie and to top it all with my favouriet actor Edward Norton. I just love the guy, he’s awesome

Lovely, haunting piece. I enjoyed hearing your voice–added an additional texture or veil, perhaps.

I love those lines, Geetha! This is wonderful, poetess!

I love those lines too! This is a wonderful poem to start my day with. Thank you! By the way, another poet on here has started a series featuring a girl and a devil in a love story. I referred her to your Devil’s Bride pieces (which are exquisite). If you’re curious about her poetic rendering, you can find hers here:

it’s short but I thought you might enjoy reading someone else’s take on the devil and his girl. It might spark more Devil’s Wife pieces 🙂

That sounds great. I will check it out thank you so much! After the return to Eden of the devil pieces I started one on their life on Center Earth but have not worked much on it as the writing was not flowing.

ooo I will wait for it. It will be all the better for having to stew in your creative juices for a time 🙂

Thanks Chris. Perhaps it will work now. It was not working properly for me either.
As for your poems, could you publish as a standard post instead of as a link when you publish your poems? It makes it easier for me to read as I read mainly from the WP reader. Thanks.

When you post you are choosing the option post as a link. This means that anyone reading your posts ends up on a link to your site rather than your full post in the reader. I usually leave posts that are links to sites for much later when I have more time. The others I read directly from the reader although I am lagging now on my reading as I have much to do and much to write too

i see! i didn’t know that?
So what do i change and where do i change it?

Have a look at my blog post Dear WordPress family and friends, it explains the process. I also added for Shiva a way to upload readings into the posts

I am talking about posts in that post (regarding the method of publishing). I know I’ve missed out comments when I go back to my posts and see comments I have not like or responded to
