November skies bled

The wasted summertime leaves

That autumn had spared

A walk in winter

Spoke of ice clad memories

Footsteps in the snow

Over horizons

Spring beckoned silent

Red speech of roses

The summer breathed soft

Scent of jasmine and fresh hay

As the sun sizzled

A whisper hovered

In the silence of my Heart

For keen ears to pick

  1. Your movement through the seasons is beautiful and that opening stanza is a beautiful hook, laying a great foundation for the rest of the poem…autumn spared leaves bleeding from November skies is perhaps the most beautiful description of falling leaves i have ever read 🙂 …you have a skilled pen, my friend…I love your poetry
