In the silence of my Heart
20 November 2015

November skies bled
The wasted summertime leaves
That autumn had spared
A walk in winter
Spoke of ice clad memories
Footsteps in the snow
Over horizons
Spring beckoned silent
Red speech of roses
The summer breathed soft
Scent of jasmine and fresh hay
As the sun sizzled
A whisper hovered
In the silence of my Heart
For keen ears to pick

The sound of Silence – Simon and Garfunkel
Your movement through the seasons is beautiful and that opening stanza is a beautiful hook, laying a great foundation for the rest of the poem…autumn spared leaves bleeding from November skies is perhaps the most beautiful description of falling leaves i have ever read 🙂 …you have a skilled pen, my friend…I love your poetry

Thank you Annie. I am so glad you like it. I was just writing another one which comes from a very far away place. I hope you will like it too

I loved it. That last one was probably my favourite. Wherever you are right now, it’s a wonderful place.
