Stars shimmer
when I look at you
They define
face refined
Your body emits glimmer
of a soul so true

Centuries
composed your being
profound thoughts
that mind spots
Living with you is seeing
green meadows to seize

You are there
Within folds of heart
They challenge
rules unfair
I create laws to avenge
the void you impart

I know not
The touch of your skin
Fingers ache
hold to take
The absence of you akin
to my soul distraught
