I have a nightmare
14 March 2016

I still feel
Touch of summer breeze
It held me
In rapture
As my heart you then captured
Under spells of fate
You and I
Made from the same thread
You spun lies
I spun truth
In between there were tangles
Where we smoothed angles
Brief instant
Concentric circles
Lapped at squares
No split hairs
Overcoming all hurdles
Geometries matched
You in me
Within dreamtime’s realm
Ecstatic
Lost magic
You the captain at my helm
Guided me to port
Safe Haven
Memories of green
I spoke Love
You mistake
We never own what we take
Over the free will
I still freeze
I have a nightmare
Where the breeze
Talks to us
Persuades me to let go
I never say no

A terrible nightmare indeed. My sympathies for having it, Geetha. But a least we can write about it to help with some of the trauma.

A brilliant write. I love this piece. But my favorite line was – We never own what we take. That was awesome.

Thank you Andrew. I am a staunch believer in free will, to the extent that even if I know sometimes that things would be best done a certain way, I leave it to the other person to decide if it does not affect me significantly
