The soul sits so still 22 March 2021

The birds chirp outside their hymns a mortal lace spun across my eardrums Heart favours sunset when the call of birds subsides nightfall slows their trill Mind sings to quaver an echo forms its tendrils while the dusk falls through My head seeks not sound eye reaches out for twilight ensnared by evening Birds’ lilts in decline a chirrup within mindscape follows afterglow The mind now shines bare silence gained within the core the soul sits so still Reading of the poem:

An excellent set. Have you been able to get back to work yet?

Thank you Derrick. Unfortunately I have not yet been able to get back to work. Our occupational health department is still devising on how my return to work will be. This department is involved for anyone who has been ill for over a month and a half.
