Come dance this lifetime away
28 November 2015

Put on your blue shoes
Blend into my sorrows step
Let’s dance to the now

A step for glory
Long lost as Time whizzes past
Forgotten footsteps

A step for the blame
Irretrievable measures
Of Humanity

A step for the fame
Sought in meaningless rivers
A dive into shame

A step for morrows
Of Earthen frames’ eagerness
As the bush seeks wild

Lay your tides in mine
I will redesign deltas
Coming back to shores

Conjoining waters
Melodies a rhythm of blues
The dancing guitars

Catharsis moves me
To depths of man’s misery
Broken tides lay still
Purification
A game of flames to dethrone
Measures of our souls

Walk in the meadows
The shepherd grants ne’er sorrows
But the peace in Heart

Sing stories of Love
Universal flags that reap
Fruit of belonging

Lay your Heart in wells
Come dance this lifetime away
Tireless kingdoms

This is one of the best collaberations between words and images that I have seen in Blogland. You writing was superb. And the images visually stimulating. Great work.

Thanks a lot, that is a very rare compliment and I appreciate it as I was intent on creating a very visual effect with this one 🙂

Thanks a lot Eric. I have to admit I like this poem too and enjoyed writing it a lot. I am currently going about posting a Tanka which is a form I had not used for a while.

I thought as much Peter. How lovely to see you here now. I just had a peep at your blog and saw that it was very multicultural 🙂
Hajer’s seems to be removed though
