A promise whirls wind
1 December 2015

The reeking trees bark
Whispers of life in fading
Airborne breath of leaves
Scattering sunrise
Hushed moments of late dewdrops
Wrestling with bubbles

A swarm of blackbirds
Heaved and fled for deception
Crows for nightingale

A promise whirls wind
Within howling desert scenes
That gathered tempests
Parched earth cracked a smile
Its hollow insides swept dry
The splintering rain

All the promises – Skye
gosh, what gorgeous imagery: from the barking of trees to splintering rain…as always, Geetha, your words move me…just beautiful 🙂

Thank you Thomas. What more can any writer ask for than to move people with words. Very grateful as always for your appreciation 🙂

Thank you. I hope you will like this one that I am about to publish. It is the fruit of a very strange dream in the vein of my other poem just before it 😀

Love this!
But these three lines:
Scattering sunrise
Hushed moments of late dewdrops
Wrestling with bubbles
Are magical. I love those images together. 🙂
