The Gods are sleeping

Their infinite arms outstretched

Embracing our frames

The Gods are sleeping

Moss and heather cover them

Dark their sheltered caves

The Gods are sleeping

Their hair miles of cypresses

Wisps heave in the winds

The Gods are sleeping

Their faces emblems of peace

Bodies a firm rock

The Gods are sleeping

They dream plans to overcome

The human frailty

The Gods are weeping

Their tears a river of pain

Bondage unending

Rushing winds

Whistling through the night

As I rise

Within skies

We are more to realise

Boundless our soul’s core

Breathe me more

I am humming heart

We gather

When we start

Travel to the edge of dreams

To heat of sunbeams

Inside me

Photons whiz madly

Journey on

Relentless

Infinity extending

Hands towards the sky

Fly away

The road is clear now

We will soar

Above clouds

Way up above the dark crowds

That hover so bleak

Fly away

We will reach the peak

Of bosoms

That will seek

An ounce of retribution

Fate absolution

Fly away

Under the treetops

Over roofs

Above hills

Winds blow on my window sills

The windchimes alert

Fairy dance

Nibbles at my feet

At Midnight

Witching hour

Time opens up the flower

Petal at a Time

I blow rhyme

She blows the bubbles

They reach me

In music

Overcoming the rubble

Of a life crumbling

Frame tumbling

Hastiness reflects

Intentions

Set so deep

Inside Heart promises keep

What the mind rejects

Send me note

Summon me a flute

We will play

While they shoot

Shadows on the wall the same

Intention in game

Hurried steps

Down winding staircase

That the winds

Whistle through

Patterns projected untrue

The light sometimes lies

Hear my sighs

I bleed contr’alto

Bridges lift

Heart’s gusto

Takes frozen frame in tempo

Into a New Age

Reduced frame

Angel came in size

Of fragment

Of herself

Offered to the elements

Raging throughout world

Cat viewed her

Mistaking for mouse

Gobbled her

Dorsal parts

Left her shivering in winds

That tore through the Earth

Shed the wings

Cough out the feathers

The Angel

Told the cat

Flying is not for felines

Even through tummies

Breathing Life

Into lungs that singe

With dust rife

Blowing winds

Across the tides that ripple

With the waves of change

Weep the tears

Of togetherness

We confess

In duress

To moments of lone weakness

When target seems stalled

Mirror walled

The strength I muster

Breaking free

Shards recalled

Building tomorrows’ smiles

In the bees cluster

The dark shout

From wells of the doubt

End to flout

Thrash about

In beginnings star-fed stout
