The raven that flew

Pray hearken

The raven that flew

Now anew

Yes anew

Will you reach into flowers

And grant us the dew?

Hark listen

The raven that flew

Yet it knew

Yes it knew

That you and I through hours

Was a tale so true

Now darkened

The raven that flew

T’was for two

So it blew

On the Sycamore treetop

It sat black and blue

Square linings in thoughts

Scent of a heart set on fire

Perfume felt my pulse

In between woodlands

A gate swings North west and creaks

South a remembrance

Wind a rhythmic friend

Over treetops lone whistle

Beings in the wild

A silence heaves hard

My bosom a place of peace

In prayer penance

Twenty three sparrows

Memories of my journey

Carry them in tale

Wisdom a handful

Merging with the feminine

Shores undivided

They told us tales of how we would have gone

With our skins to hide and wailing bellies

With our knees quaking and courage foregone

A tale now foretold as our breaths would cease

The sun melted into the horizon

Traces of the cold to come submerged us

Jaded darkness overcame the prison

This was the end we would go without fuss

The eyes within the cypresses watched on

We walked uphill to places forgotten

The will now forsaken the soul forlorn

A semblance of human its core rotten

They gathered us in increasing darkness

The night was the tool of lasting terror

Free will brought all courage we could harness

We escaped at last an end of horror

Tell me tale

As I will inhale

Pollen struck

Flower pots

Loose scent of forget-me-nots

Unraveling slow

Wade with me

In murky rivers

Three bereft

Cleanliness

A phantom while corpses left

On pyres alit

Shower me

Blue meteorites

Corpuscules

Caving in

In sync with the whisperings

The truth of heartstrings

Erasure

Obliteration

Inside me

Doves fly free

Outside borders now shaken

Through vows we’ve taken

You fly high

Your shape dark tattoo

Etheric

Composure

Minutes before disclosure

Tale of who is who

Vibration

Energy coursing

Through my skin

Subdued din

Voices hoarse together sing

Branding face with wing

We summed them

In punctuation

Dots in cross

Cross in dash

Marble now crumbling to ash

Fragments of unseen

Shining lines

Covet lightened shrines

Come hither

We cloak selves

In the gold of alchemist

Leaving copper trail

Trade my faith

Thousand bolts under

Thunder’s call

Tall to wraith

The subdued versions recall

Memories of the fall

September

Will bring me ember

Of moon’s death

Slow sun’s breath

A tale to remake amber

Jaded tiger’s eyes

Hawk’s eye stirs

Mesmerised iris

Glaring whirs

Into sight

The shadow behind that blurs

Witnesses of light

Invoke me

A game to dethrone

Casting stone

In rivers

The thought that blind delivers

From mirrors of old

Beat the cold

The breath throbbing drum

In the hum

Tale of two

Passengers that we once knew

In beating temples

Splashing light

Into dark corners

Waking scent

Of mourners

Reliving in dreams instant

Of moments fragrant

Honey bees

Lifting up my knees

New posture

Green pasture

Running through meadows of gold

Naked tale foretold

Steel not rust

Redeems what we must

Wanderlust

Before dust

The raw taste of strawberry

Six plunder

Jewels of the crown

Nightingale

Turned to clown

Move sixty-six feet under

Forts that knock sundown

Legend thief

Moving up the wall

I inhale

In deep call

The dying fish of the reef

Survival cost all

Melt me skies

Now EMP squared

I’ll tell tale

How we fared

Through the meltdown of the lies

As Brotherhood stared

Renewed dreams

Complexity seems

Sole measure

Soul treasure

In stretching the circle’s beams

We stitch at the seams

Their breath stale

With invented tale

Displeasure

In pleasure

Deciphering head from tail

Diving to inhale

The mind own

Synapses to hone

The pressure

In leisure

Moving within flesh to bone

Corpses dance alone
