Ocean greets me kin

Ocean greets me kin

24 March 2020

This is not a play

Tragedy nor comedy

This is a life’s toil

I splatter the drops

The waters in rivulets

Aspire for bay

Ocean greets me kin

Movement of waves like my skin

A body of clay

Reading of the poem:

Written in the context of Ronovan writes weekly Haiku 298 using the words bay and play. For rules and more poems follow this link.

We escaped at last an end of horror

We escaped at last an end of horror

They told us tales of how we would have gone

With our skins to hide and wailing bellies

With our knees quaking and courage foregone

A tale now foretold as our breaths would cease

The sun melted into the horizon

Traces of the cold to come submerged us

Jaded darkness overcame the prison

This was the end we would go without fuss

The eyes within the cypresses watched on

We walked uphill to places forgotten

The will now forsaken the soul forlorn

A semblance of human its core rotten

They gathered us in increasing darkness

The night was the tool of lasting terror

Free will brought all courage we could harness

We escaped at last an end of horror

Erasure

Obliteration

Inside me

Doves fly free

Outside borders now shaken

Through vows we’ve taken

You fly high

Your shape dark tattoo

Etheric

Composure

Minutes before disclosure

Tale of who is who

Vibration

Energy coursing

Through my skin

Subdued din

Voices hoarse together sing

Branding face with wing

We summed them

In punctuation

Dots in cross

Cross in dash

Marble now crumbling to ash

Fragments of unseen

Hark listen

The bark whispers thin

Winding through

Willow tree

Speaking of when we ran free

Children of the Blue

Who is who

We know not answer

Question posed

Undisclosed

The winding wells tell secrets

Of Love and regrets

Wash my skin

Hone my growing fin

Morrows kin

Usher in

True light invading my doors

Growing sunshine pours

I found it

Within Skin’s Layers

Forgotten

Triangle

Where we see every angle

Of Victim’s Slayers

The Prayers

Gushing with the Faith

Bosom bore

Remnants core

We kept each ounce of Atom

The Light Could Fathom

Envy’s lace

Brittle the solace

Golden egg

They stole it

When the flaming bushes lit

The God Particle

Breathing hiss

Lungs rustling papers

Chained within

Free without

The heart in tears the mind stout

Dichotomy’s kin

Fluttering

Derogatory

Butterfly

Mocking moth

Reverie converted sloth

Society’s skin

Breathing bliss

Renewed revision

Seeing right

In the light

Contours define the shapes sight

Love in what you do

Grip my chin

Speak now over din

Crackled skin

Stretched too thin

Wade in waters to the shin

Reaching Star I’m in

Map a vow

Morrows look allow

Hurry now

The Earth plough

The ancient crests disavow

Valleys that they trow

Dare to speak

Turn not other cheek

Ancient Greek

Show us meek

In the tunnels baring peak

Waters that we seek

Sleep will come – Bliss

Blended illusion

Blended illusion

14 November 2016

heart of love rassouli com 2

Three to one

Sorted confusion

Our limbs meet

Green hilltops

Slopes sliding through the morrows

Forged in the sorrows

Priest and nun

Thwarted diffusion

Our bones sweep

Blue graveyards

Where the look takes to the kill

Bodies lying still

Hopes are torn

When the children die

Pennies lie

Change wasted

The smiles on our mouth pasted

With gruesome dark glue

Blink I’m gone

Remnants of pieces

Skin hanging

Rose petals

Showering your pale body

As the sound subsides

Wild horse rides

Peaks of never more

Wave broken

On the shore

The hurt still throbbing and sore

Wrists red though uncut

The eyes shut

Blended illusion

Surging through

Blue temple

Your breath warm as I tremble

My way through your chest

Transient

Sentient status

Of my Heart

Pay no heed

We wallow in ridicule

The killers galore

The absent

A status symbol

Of unfed

Mouth to mouth

Respiratory whims fetch

Meanings to the touch

The starved clutch

The remnants of chaff

Falling threads

Of a thought

Wheat fleeting commodity

Bread an afterthought

Beauty wrought

In sinuous lines

Between peaks

Of despair

Tragedy eye opener

Liner of dark rims

The look skims

Bones and milky skin

The silk worn

Pieces torn

Patchwork of a body lain

On bed of roses

Blind eye sees

Beyond the matter

At hand waves

Splitting air

The mind never going where

The Heart speaks softly

Feel the night

Body aroma

Gifted touch

In fingers

Learning the texture of rain

As it falls off you

Ghostly light

Plays upon your skin

Ringing tone

Of your voice

Whispers with which I rejoice

In corners of mind

Tongue unkind

Pillar of the weak

We undressed

In soul meek

Remnants of stains and laces

Glories disgraces

Heap the wage

Of war and pieces

Of life strewn

Under moon

Ravenous she stilled the dune

That played in your eyes

Tell me lies

Half-truths of morrows

Lead astray

Silent sway

Our naked bodies in hay

Summertime’s promise

The lost bliss

Through your winter’s hiss

Paves my way

Birth the day

When daffodils shine in May

December spotting
