The Gods are sleeping

Their infinite arms outstretched

Embracing our frames

The Gods are sleeping

Moss and heather cover them

Dark their sheltered caves

The Gods are sleeping

Their hair miles of cypresses

Wisps heave in the winds

The Gods are sleeping

Their faces emblems of peace

Bodies a firm rock

The Gods are sleeping

They dream plans to overcome

The human frailty

The Gods are weeping

Their tears a river of pain

Bondage unending

Leaves fall off the tree

Yellow butterflies to ground

Moss heather and stone

Mind’s criss-cross of highs and lows

Tangled webs of slain desires

Clouds gathered in skies

Raindrops showering gardens

Pond fish thirst alive

Mind’s preoccupations cloud

Soul reaching out to rainbows

Birds’ flight back to nest

Huddled sounds of nestling wings

Pairs to one’s solace

Breath of the divine inside

Alone we are not lonesome

Mossy waves

Floating petals shades

Everglades

Wonder’s point

The colours observed disjoint

Hues of red and blue

Colour rule

Teachings of old school

Pupil mild

Like a child

Outer quiet inner wild

Rocking the boat two

Ship at sea

The mind keeping low at bay

Thunderous

Waves that bring

Ship wreck to my toe nail pink

Sirens sailors sink

Rivers run

To a stilting halt

Taste of salt

Beckoning

To thunders of Ocean near

What I once held dear

Twin suns rise

On new born landscapes

Dark-fed apes

Memory

Of mind sinking purple sea

Jupiter rising

Rolling free

The stones pick up moss

Blue green loss

Scorches peak

For the fallen silent plea

Prayer of the meek

I picked daisies

From fields of wild bloom

Setting course on springtime’s kiss

Seasons gone amiss

Weather man’s honey moon

Perhaps too soon

Autumn leaves flocked tight

Whirling around summer days

Wayward are the ways

Of seasons of half light

Winter spelt ice

In caverns of glass

Winding weaving underpass

Crossing through mountains

Built on the desert sands

Leaves joining hands

Pining for the rake

Obedient the waning piles

Counting on the rain

Renewal in the moss

Midsummer mind

In between seasons

Looking back at spring’s folly

Under feet quicksand

Looking forth take a toss

Check the boxes

Sit back set the course

Stormy weather is the key

Return to the Source

All set for the journey

Letting go

Has come to a close

Moon was high

Tide was low

I breathe in now deep and slow

Sheltered beginnings

Waves were rough

Felt we’d had enough

On it went

All fear spent

It is time now to rebuild

With love to be filled

Hark now friends

Our lessons are learnt

Hearts empty

Room plenty

Weave back those bridges we burnt

In dreams make amends

Cosmic swirl

Heaped in emptiness

The ropes cut

In space hurled

We are no longer alone

On path to oneness

We mend hearts

Quiet minds discontent

The slaves free

The will strong

We now know where we belong

Journey to sunshines

They will fight

Invoking all might

Thunder clear

Banished fear

Can you see why we are here?

They no longer rule

While we toil

Building tomorrow

Only fool

Unkempt heart

Would not wish for the fresh start

Freedom is by choice

Green paper

A thing of the past

Heart scraper

Vanished fast

Clinging on to glory spent

Brings not life unbent

Two to three

Witnesses of loss

Stones rolling

Gather moss

Winds will stop we will be free

The rulers outcast

Make merry

Or make war a truth

I give you

Golden child

Spare the wasted harmony

Time will not turn back

I touched your cold face

On a bright summer morning

As the dewdrops fell

The Earth welcomed cool

Steaming with the hiss of light

Water fire sinks

The cold was your tears

As night’s wake had gifted these

To your marble skin

A sob rose in throat

For future lived in past tense

Where hearts would flutter

You and I then cried

The loss of what was to be

As neither moved moss

Growth is from cutting

Seedlings in another land

Must then be potted

I cut through an inch

We winced from the incision

And withdrew silent

Hand on your shoulder

Mortal experiences

Treachery of pain

All senses fail me

A sixth came to the rescue

Enhancing your sight

Imaginary

Friends reproach me your essence

That they will feel not

You dwell in my mind

Your heart reaching through the space

In between photons

Mind said you were dead

Perhaps I am your widow

You painted me black

Milliseconds’ fleet

From one beam to the other

As I catch your depth

Coded in the words

Meaning of a mind spirals

Through a timeless void

Loophole carries me

Writhing spirit did battle

Fragmentation tires

Living in split worlds

My soul divides a fractal

Embedded in time

Hai Dil Ye Mera – Arijit Singh

Darken the full moon

Darken the full moon

18 July 2015

 Inrapture8

Hushed tones cover moss

As the desert air seeps in

Every pore fills dust

Mind’s spores strive to break the crust

Of memory’s pearly shells

 .

Waning jasmine dies

Breathing promises of life

In resurrection

Soul’s sight resuscitated

Speaks visions of new morrows

Earth spells rhythm of waves

Scourging all rock and ocean

While tides break even

Mind spent all thoughts in balance

As the Blue called to the Grey

Clouds gathered in sky

Grimacing scars of pitch black

Darken the full moon

Lost in death’s realm your face stark

Bore no semblance of life’s call
