And the mirror crack’d

And the mirror cracked

17 July 2012

Sun setting high in realms of darkness

With moon in silver coat would collide

A coach with frothing horses to harness

On a lonely road would quiver and glide

Unseen strings bind a carriage so bleak

In eerie symphony of an unknown pace

Melody to spur fear in a heart so weak

A requiem of the most uncanny grace

Look a look wasted in the face of glory

With withered wings that sun do dart

And as would fate then unfold the story

Of an empty shell that soul would part

Onward journey to the edge of unreal

Where lightning tamed slowly wanders

And the mirror cracked so as to conceal

The burgeoning of oncoming wonders
