The daybreak

Follows lengthy night

Wanderers

Scurry fast

Through winding alleys backstreets

Hidden dark retreats

Within lairs

They compose in wells

Ancient spells

The tongue tells

The belly full grows and swells

Dark composition

Transition

Cycle of ages

The sages

Welcome change

The fools depths of Earth derange

My kingdom will come

Tired humdrum

Lusterless tragic

Poor magic

Stains my name

The wild children mine to tame

Chains of wicker break

Souls to wake

The lids silent monk

Bosom shake

Like Tree trunk

Leaves of yesteryear to rake

Dim path to the Lake

The Heart spake

Tongue of stone mountains

Concealing

Inside you

There are bells that ring

Sunrises

Rivalling

With silver spark of moonlight

Joys in the heart sing

You look out

Watching for the fall

Golden threads

Spider’s web

The maze more than we recall

Black is but colour

You see not

The pealing of bells

Time’s treasures

Hidden deep

We create our own steep wells

Source of our magic

Dark moments

They are inversion

Fear static

Hour tragic

All but shadows of the light

Oozing from your frame

Look within

Multiple appeal

I repeat

Litany

That you may finally see

With sight of the heart

See the beat

Chronicles of love

Decomposed

In phases

Water on steps erases

Traces of our pains

Stand my tease

Bring me to my knees

Wail me dry

Shrill my cry

Take me to kingdoms driven

By Hope and fear slight

Help me laugh

From your book’s humour

Stealth me chaff

Through death’s veil

Bring upon my eyes lost smile

What we used to be

Watch me fall

And then rise me tall

Hail me fast

Make it past

Loss and rotten tomatoes

Tragic comedy
