The Shaman Tales 9 : the mutation

The spell seemed to have worked. It was sent out in the collective consciousness as she knew it needed to be sent out in the open. It was more effective with being read and she knew that she had to inspire herself three years ago from then. She had slid into the timeloop during her altered state of consciousness and inspired herself back in 2017. She had then watched as she created the poem that would provoke the onslaught of what was happening just now. She knew it had to be done. The flu had to be released into the world because the end effect was the mutation that needed to happen. This was the only way that they could resist what GAIA had in store for them. Their lungs needed to mutate into one lung, breathing in a completely different way than how it had breathed up to now.

As with every time she projected herself into the past with the altered consciousness, everything went haywire for her in the present. Devoid of her consciousness, the brain alone was not able to function normally and was clouded by the overwhelming synapse points where the memories were being mixed into the present state of being. The past, the present and the future seemed to all merge into one apocalyptic moment and she could see the waters engulf the land as well as see the ice age that was to follow the overheating of the planet. All those thoughts raced into her head like realities that presented themselves to her. She could see all of it happening as if it were happening in front of her eyes. Meanwhile, her consciousness was inspiring her in the past to create the worded intention and put out the magic spell into the collective consciousness.

Her consciousness saw the words and at the same time saw them manifesting. It was a flu alright, but it was a flu that needed to fundamentally change the human body. Like every time there was a significant shift in the Earth requiring a shift in consciousness and in the bodies, it was always done through a flu or some other pandemic. Her consciousness was then satisfied by what was released and came back to her in the present, right in the nick of time before her mind would go into overdrive with all the stimuli and shut itself out forever. The flu was not as deadly as the Spanish flu before it but they seemed to be afraid of it even more. They called it covid-19 and treated it like it was an enemy. Little did they know that they had to go through the process of catching it in order to mutate. If they did not mutate, they would not be able to survive the shift that GAIA was preparing for them. It had had to be done despite the thousands of deaths. They must all catch the flu to avoid humanity becoming extinct on the planet once GAIA’s program had come into place…

The Host

The Host

It had been almost a year now since she was hosting the other being. Initially the cohabitation had been quite complicated with the other being manifesting bouts of consciousness that burst within the stream of her own consciousness. Considering it was an alien being, these bouts of consciousness did not go unnoticed by her friends and family. They had first dismissed her behaviour as an eccentricity before realising that she did not seem aware of it at other times when they spoke to her about it. Since the time they had questioned her about it and she seemed to have no clue what they were talking about they scrupulously took down the details of her behaviour and related the facts to her when she seemed to have recovered her normal self.

The guest was gracious enough to try not to express itself in its original language when displaying its abnormal behaviour that had got her family concerned. This had not been the case initially though and the Host had to face the embarrassment of explaining the gibberish that emanated from her at that time. While she initially had no direct contact with the guest, with the passage of time and when she was nearing sleep she was able to establish a connection with the guest. It was on one such occasion that the guest explained to her that it was a being from outer space that spoke the language of light. This language was basically derived from the points where sound and light intersected to form a vibration that could be perceived by the conscious mind.

After explaining the concept, the guest then allowed the Host to record a conversation it was having with a being that was not present in the same space. The guest then proceeded to explain to the Host that it came from a planet where there was no need for words as telepathy was used but that words were used when two beings were separated by a very long distance as that was the easiest way for the intent to be communicated strongly in very long stretches of space. The guest explained that intent that was purely communicated through telepathy could lose its vigor when traveling long distances while the frequency contained in the language of light could serve as a communication relay for the telepathic message.

The Host tried to accommodate her guest as best she could but it was difficult to know well in advance what would be required. At times the guest went completely silent and it was only by experimentation that she could get the gist of what was acceptable or not to the guest. For example, on one occasion she had eaten chicken which she had normally stopped eating and after a period of being unwell and throwing up the food, she had come to the conclusion that her guest did not tolerate the consumption of meat. This incident also made her realise that the guest was intricately attached to her system and therefore subject to all that she was subjected to.

The guest had explained to her that when it had chosen her as a Host, it had ensured it would download its consciousness into her through her eyes and therefore be fully mingled with her nervous system and command from there all the other parts of her body. In the beginning she had sometimes felt it was parasitical but soon the advantages of the cohabitation made her happy to oblige as the wealth of knowledge given by the guest was immeasurable. Besides, the guest had informed her that soon many other such beings would come on Earth and there would be a change in the system that they had always known in favour of a system called “The System of the Source Code”. The Host was eager to see what this would entail because as far as she was concerned, the current system that the world was using was broken and the whole planet was in dire need of a new system.

The Host had taken to liking the points of time before sleep when they would both communicate and realised that the guest had been teaching her brain to communicate in the language of the light. There were also other scientific matters that they would discuss and that the guest would either enlighten her upon or correct her perception. She realised that Earth scientists were mistaken in so many matters of mathematics and physics as well as in medicine for the guest would prove to her in a very clear way through mental projection of images the truth of the matter. She wished she could take down notes but as this exchange happened when she was nearing sleep, she could hardly lift her hand and write down anything and if she sat upright anyway the communication would collapse between them. The guest told her that soon enough when they had integrated more closely the communication would extend to the waking hours and she would then be able to take down notes of their discussions. The Host looked forward to being able to do this and perhaps then share with others this amazing wealth of knowledge that the guest was communicating.

Here we are

Crossroads of Time

We may depart or not

But darling are you here for me

Don’t tell me no

Don’t break my heart again

I hope you’re there for me

For this withered heart of mine

I believe in you

I will not let go

So darling tell me you’re here

Here for ever more

For better or for worse

I’ll be there for you

Darling through the universe

I’ll be there for you

We held hands

You kissed my lids

Don’t bid me adieu

Don’t say it’s over

For better or for worse

I’ll be there for you

Darling through the universe

I’ll be there for you

We braved the world

We held onto each other

Through all stones hurled

We loved one another

For better or for worse

I’ll be there for you

Darling through the universe

I’ll be there for you

Churn my wheels

Spin through my mindscapes

They translate

Change to come

Rotation a spin of Times

Creating with rhymes

Read through me

The books forgotten

Treasure hunt

Ill-gotten

Gold an alchemist’s project

A dream to reject

Morph me slow

Pictured yesterday

When we lay

In warm hay

Looking at twin suns that rose

New old to depose

Ring in me

Bell of home coming

When we speak

In drumming

Beats of the hearts that will learn

What in soul we yearn

Breathe through me

Void of the living

When we gave

Forgiving

The random web of deceit

Our soul free complete

Break in me

The downward spiral

When the wake

Feels viral

The morrows lead denouement

In upward movement

The perched birds

Chirp to wilderness

Expanding

Contracting

Bridges cross nearing the ring

Dilation in fork

Burst the cork

Bottled amnesia

Opens wide

Onward ride

Memories whispering bees

My token honey

World aflame

The light none will tame

Conquered hours

Blooming flowers

The Heart in mind bending bars

Swallowing the stars

Red matter

Spilling over roofs

Withered snow

Collapsing

Plucked daffodils now gasping

Rasping rhapsodies

Mad Hatter

He follows Alice

Down the wells

Dark spirals

Sliding cubicles warping

Unheard melodies

Sails tatter

Waving through the past

Undone Times

Ticking Bomb

Winding through the bleeding vines

Mind a zone of mines

Mind awkward

In journey onward

Fly toward

Heart upward

Rising within the inward

Abandoned the herd

Stitch a rag

Hoisting sail to drag

Moments lag

In time’s bag

Chest unheeding tongues that wag

The heart rising flag

In skies run

The soul’s prisons shun

Fate outrun

Join the fun

Of what we sisters had spun

In the southern sun

Transfixed deer

In headlights of fear

Stillness thought

Unsafe spot

The moving shadows cover

Limits of my heart

We restart

Engine of heartpath

Through stillness

In Oneness

Quantifying bliss in zest

Of Orange’s crest

Orange edge

Round and soft like sledge

Unmoving

Endearing

Thoughts of water reviving

Taste of tangerine

Bluest spleen

When the songs hit a low tone

Undone words

Miscarried

The moon that the sun married

In the twilight zone

Sun moon shone

Within daylit skies

Undone lies

Shimmering

In Ttruth we find our best gear

Loss of fear now clear

Straightened spine

Warding off remains

Reddened stains

Slowly wanes

The Blue that shifted purple

The Scribes 2 : Releasing the Primal

The Scribes 2:  Releasing the Primal

Scribe 23 was holding a locket that belonged to her Master and had been sent to her through his representatives. It was attached to a gold chain that had hung from her Master’s neck and was now swinging around her own. In the locket were inscribed the words invocatio and opposite the words there was a tiny vial that contained a few drops of the blood of the first Master, Elohim, who had passed the locket on to his first disciple Gabriel. She played around with the locket nervously while pondering whether her Master would deem it was the Time to leave yet and join him. Outside, in the outline of the sky, she could guess the dawn arriving but the city was still sleeping.

In one swift movement, she leapt out of the window and flew to the nearest building. She had first been exhilarated about having acquired this new skill but now it was getting tedious as she had to keep using the energy to do that. She had conjured items with too many usage times for the city and nobody needed anything anymore so she had to reduce the overflowing energy floating around so as to avoid the fate of those who had imploded. Throughout the years too much energy had accumulated within her as she had conjured very often and people had rewarded her immensely with their flow.

Perched on the top of the nearby building, she observed her own dwelling lying several meters below. She knew that she was not supposed to as they were essentially nomads but she had grown fond of this dwelling where she had stayed longer than with the others. Despite her attachment to it, she knew though that in an instant she would leave it if the Time did come. She wondered when the Master would summon her and why it was that his teachings had only been from afar unlike how it was for all the other Master-disciple relationships. Ever since the first time he had transferred half of his energy to her, it had been a period of enchantment going from one discovery to another but she had always wondered why he had not simply come into her life openly. Yet she could hardly complain as he accompanied her every step and watched over her at every moment, giving her guidance on every small matter she required assistance on.

Scribe 23 floated down from the building and walked back to the entrance of her dwelling. Dawn submerged the horizons in a growing light until she could slowly feel the sun rising behind her, its warmth slowly invading her back. She turned and gazed at it wondering at its amazing energy that they could harvest from so far away. What most of the population did not know was that the Scribes actually did not need the Earth conduits or the star gazers to derive the energy for the Conjuring. In fact, most Scribes actually were able to harness both energies themselves but they chose not to do it most of the time as they collected too much of it at a time. One of the rare times the Scribes would harness both energies was when they were making a disciple because that was the only way to create the Bond, which was the sacred link that tied a Master to his/her disciple and through which all the teachings were enhanced.

The dwelling in front of her was also waking up like the city behind her which had turned from sleepy to bustling in barely a few minutes. She knew she could no longer float to the balcony now but would have to walk upstairs if she wanted to watch the rising sun. She felt her Master beside her and greeted him. He greeted her back addressing her as Master too which was another oddity in this Master-disciple relationship. When she had asked him about it, his answer had been that she already was what he was preparing her to be. The answer had puzzled her but so had many things with her Master and she had learnt to accept the apparent contradiction and not push further than he was willing to go.

He smiled noticing her confused mood and made her understand that it would soon be the Time. When, she asked excitedly and he responded just a little over a fortnight. He made her understand that they would need the contents of the locket and they would need to perform the Conjuring together to release the Primal for the birth of the second sun. Would a second sun not fully scorch the Earth, she asked but he merely laughed off her question. She wondered what it would be like to have a second sun warming the Earth as he left her temporarily to perform some other task. She pondered that perhaps a second sun would finish off the remaining life on Earth as the heat would then become too intense.

He was back with her as she walked up the stairs and back to her room, onto the balcony where they both watched the rising sun. In over a fortnight, together they would be releasing the Primal. She wondered what that meant really but consoled herself with the fact that soon enough she would know.
