Do you see?

Do you see?

Do you see

The falling memories

They build lakes

Steeped in blue

The hue of moonshine

She and I were two

Did you know

Inevitable

Red meets blue

Purple tunes

The fusion of the phoenix

Rising from ashes

Child in me

Picks up drawing ink

Squaring planes

Circles twined

Profusion of connections

Slits into the soul

You are blind

Like we were once deaf

Our worlds shut

Like tight breath

Exhaling from compressed lips

Landscapes of sorrow

The silence

Communication

All dead words

In white shroud

My dark shadows lost in cloud

Nine a mere number

In your mind

Your thoughts roam alone

Path of stone

Ropes for blind

Highways grey crumbs left behind

Bricks for the tender

Trick or treat

Guessing overstayed

Underpaid

Time precious

Ticks sucking red drops of life

Amusement parks themes

Dark playgrounds

I seldom choose black

Shapes curving

Circles full

Foot ventures not on dead track

Misplaced wanderings

Truth and lies

Tilting sceneries

Wilting rose

Doubts impose

Proximity’s timed playthings

Stuffed toys for musings

Bask in light

Revered distant star

Twinkle bright

Lost the fight

We honour your corpse buried

Six blue feet under

Thieves plunder

Jewels of your chest

Show and tell

Cast a spell

Between words plastered and song

The walls hearts arrest

Clock ticks talks

Language spelt or read

Hymns for dead

Clues for child

Imagination runs wild

My aim in clear head

Do you see

The wasted morrows

They sink ships

Hidden hues

Swarms of bees suckling pristine

Sprouting of my Blues

    • Thank you Kennedy. As I was saying once to a fellow blogger, I used to write once without music but because my poems were usually written in a certain atmosphere with specific music in the background I started sharing music too. Then the whole thing progressed to certain musics actually meaning something specific for me hence the systematic sharing of music that is meant to complement the poem. Usually the last song (if there is more than one) is meant to somehow summarise the whole matter or merely give a twist or a future outlook. Thank you for reading and liking 🙂

  1. You are a true artist, spinning your letters, weaving words to create perfect lines, lines that captivate the reader. Love the images, especially that first one :). Visiting your blog is like visiting an art gallery! Love, love it, my friend 🙂

    • Thank you so much my friend. I was wondering where your beautiful comments were. Darn those notification glitches. This one was woven with heartstrings so I am happy people like it and it resonates with them. That was truly a beautiful compliment. Thank you so much!

      • You are welcome, my friend. I am just getting around to catching up on some reading. I read about 300 posts yesterday, commenting on a few here and there. I try to keep yours for a time when I can read closely 🙂 It’s always my pleasure, Geetha, to ready your wonderful poetry 🙂

  2. Geetha! This is beautiful! So much longer than your normal pieces and full of beautiful word pairings! I also love that you bring back the blue and red and purple from other pieces. Just wonderful!! 🙂

      • You’re welcome and you are too kind in your praise. I am humbled you think so highly of me. I’m just sorry it took me so long to visit your site. I try to visit everyone who likes or comments on my blog every day but I sometimes miss people. I am all the poorer for that oversight because I missed out on your beautiful posts.

    • Thank you Mich. I’ve read it now and added the recording. It’s a bit of a jumble as there are some parasite noises at some points but that’s unfortunately what you get with the voice memo option of the iphone. I no longer have the nice program that used to allow for sophisticated recording and adding of images and music for youtube. I hope you like that too.

    • Thank you Mark for your beautiful words. I am well, thank you and hope you are too. I think I missed liking a poem of yours in this hectic week where I barely had the time to write and read. I have everything on email though and am reading from there so will get back to your site to comment as email only allows you to read. xoxo
